The pizza recipe on Branches menu took two months to perfect. Two Red Seal chefs worked to ensure the dough was thin enough to emulate the traditional pizzas of Italy while still maintaining a crispy texture. In the end, they crafted several unique pizzas that were in a 700 degree oven for three minutes and came out just as the restaurant’s owners had hoped.
The restaurant is located within Greenland Garden Centre, and co-owner Deb Sirman says customers had been requesting they build it for years. The garden centre opened in 1991, and had originally just served coffees and Panini. It was constantly busy, and finally Deb and her husband decided to open a full restaurant in 2014, located in an off-shoot from a greenhouse.
