Founded in 2011 in Vancouver by Steve Thorp and Mike Macquisten, FreshTAP is Canada’s pioneer and leader in the wine-on-tap industry. Operating in the historic Settlement Building in Railtown the duo also runs an urban winery, craft brewery and restaurant onsite. Recently, FreshTAP outgrew its Railtown space and opened a 30,000 square foot facility on Vernon Drive in Vancouver to expand the warehouse and distribution side of the business.
By 2014, FreshTAP had partnered with around 75 well established local and international wineries to package over 150 wines. With this reusable wine-delivery system, wine is contained in stainless steel kegs, enabling hospitality establishments across the country to serve a smarter, fresher and friendlier glass of wine by eliminating spoilage and oxidization.
