Best place in town! Amazing and friendly service who genuinely care about their customers. Always fresh ingredients and no processed foods! Always will accommodate to your taste or allergies, the staff are the best here! The menu is wonderful, classic items such as the turkey club, with real, fresh turkey ( the best club around). The menu features some unique dishes as well that will surely please your palette. The fresh fruit salads and vinaigrette drizzles so amazing. Everyone should visit this place at least once in their life! Oh and you must try their signature homemade soup, tomato basil. The best! If you are going through Wiarton, STOP THERE!!!!!
Had our Christmas party at the Green Door and had a wonderful meal. Service was very organized and friendly. The place is small so reservations would probably be needed on a Friday or Saturday night. Would definitely eat here again.,
Have been vacationing in the area every August for years. It was nice to finally find a decent place to eat. Seating is very limited. Get there early or make reservations. Many people were turned away.
I would like to respond to the negative comments about the Green Door Cafe in Wiarton. My family and I have been fortunate to be able to frequent restaurants in both Toronto and Wiarton. After many years of eating out, a pattern starts to emerge, which tells the real story of a great place to eat. This pattern starts with, how popular the restaurant is. Do you need reservations? How long has the staff been employed and ends, with how often you see the same people in the same place. There are two main reasons for the pattern to exist. The food and service must be excellent and the price is reasonable.. We have eaten at the Green Door Cafe for the last 5 years, on a weekly basis. I have never been disappointed. The expertise of both Sarah and TIm speaks for itself. A positive experience is waiting for you.
i have eaten in many restaurants in ontario and the u.s. and by far the green door cafe in wiarton is one of the best,not only is the food exceptional but the staff are friendly and quick with your order,if you like genuine home made italian pizza{like i do} you must try this one,..there is nothing 'fake'' about this one,im pretty sure i have tried everything on there menu at least once and never had a bad meal or a bad server,.. it just goes to show you that there are some people out there that you just cant please,..for those people i might suggest that you just stay home!!!
This is the best restaurant in Wiarton. I have eaten there since they opened (and at a previous establishment they ran in Owen Sound). The food is always good, and very fresh. I highly recommend it . . . wish it was open late night. Oh well, can't have it all. The Green Door catered a banquet for us for 150+ people and it was excellent. A wide range of delicious appetizers, salads, entrees, and fabulous desserts. We will definitely hire them again!
The food is such a pleasant surprise here. As cottagers from the "big city", we were ever so happy to find the Green Door. The food is consistently fresh and homemade. Specials are seasonal, which takes advantage of local produce. Dressings and sauces must be homemade. Food is cooked to order. You owe it to yourself to kick the chain restaurants and go for real food!

the chef had put the big brekfast sign out before i got there.But when i got there i knew what to order right there.The brekfast was great and i will come again with a bigger pod then just my self.GREAT JOB.
The Green door calf is so clean and the food is fanominal.the chef is clean and so are the washrooms.They are also so carring about there customers their one of the best places to eat in wiarton.
The place is very clean i cant believe the last posting,there is no cook at this place it has to be a chef.The food is to die for.The green door cafe is friendly to the earth as well from what I was told.They recycyle everything and dont dump it wherevere

I cannot beleive the last posts. The food was way below average. Place was dirty...don't go to the washroom! Saw the cook, kept touching his hair and face, yuck!
This place is very unassuming and yet the food is out of this world. Both the quality of the food and presentation are fitting of the finest dining experience. The omelette was delicious,I will assume you will not be dissapointed with anything you order at this cafe. I will make it a point to be a regular at this restaurant, at least once a week.
The breakfast came with fresh fruit salads which were amazing. The omelette and the french toast were outstanding. It was truly a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. It was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
My family took me to Green Door Cafe for Father's Day brunch and it was the best brunch I have eaten for a long time. They had lots of salads, pastries, meat, etc, but the best dish by far are the perogies!!!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone!
We heard that the appetizers were good so when we sat down we totally couln't decide - then just got one of each :) ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! every bite was sensational, too bad in such a little town not very busy, but we will most definitely have a repeat visit!
