I had made reservations last night, I was taking my daughter out before she left for Edmonton. And celebrating my grandson's first birthday.
I was very very disappointed with the restaurant itself. The waitress sat us down and came back after we found someone 15 minutes later to take our order for a drink. Four of us ordered Caesars, she had to go see if they were out of Clamato juice. It took another 20 minutes before getting our drinks.
We weren't even asked if we wanted appetizers,
I normally LOVE East Side Marios, but when I tried the one on Algonquin Ave I was absolutely disgusted in the service. I visited this restaurant 3 times hoping for a better outcome each time, but continued to be disappointed. My first visit we were offered to go to the bar area for drinks while we wait for our table, but coincidentally we were never served drinks even though we had asked several waitresses we were always told that they were not working in that area. When we finally got a table, the food was great but when it came time to pay I wanted to use a giftcard I had that was for several restaurants and on the back it specifically says "can also be used at East Sides" the waitress would not take my word that the giftcard can be used, when she finally decided to try the card she.. wait for it.. rolled her eyes! and of course.. the giftcard worked.
Another visit, we waited for our salads and breadsticks for over a half hour even though we could see them waiting at the counter for a waitress to bring them to us. When we asked our waitress she blamed it on another girl who she claims to be training and said that she was supposed to bring them. 15 minutes later, still not salad and breadsticks. We asked our waitress again, and again she passed to blame to someone else. Eventually due to other issues we had we asked to see a manager and we cancelled our order and left.
Waited for drinks way too long! The waitress forgot to bring soup, salads and bread, they were brought with the meal. When I asked the waitress if she forgot our appetizers, she lied and said no. The food was terrible!!! We asked to speak to the manager. He never showed up. Absolutely the worst meal and service! We will never go back and will never recommend this dump to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!
