Service Agent with poor communication
My cousin had booked a wedding group package to Cuba in April 2011 . This being my first vacation ever i must say i don't know anything about travel. I went in to the office booking my vacation. i payed my bill in full so i thought .was told i didn't have to purchase insurance right now. Never explained anything to do with the insurance never mind that there was different plans. She told me just to stop in for insurance and pay for it then.I wrote her a check for my trip and was only give a receipt which i must say i didn't pay any attention to the fact she put the insurance package of 191.00 on the bill.She stated i would receive emails for trip info.No email received. my cousin was given my tickets and holding them. thinking about insurance and stop by office no agents in office. So i called to see if she had anything about insurance with my tickets. She said no she will talk to the agent. we never heard anything by lunch i decide to buy insurance so i had it before leaving. In that time agent calls my cousin and say i purchased insurance and didn't pay for it so i still owe her and she wasn't going to give papers till i pay. So i call her she is very rude and doesn't let me talk stating this is a legal matter if i don't pay it. She actually had me in tears. She said she would email me the papers right away and at least get my money back for the other insurance. So i agree. I check my email and there was an email only stating that i have insurance and its not refundable. NO INSURANCE papers still . I reply to her email asking for the papers she said they would come by email from insurance company site. no emails I didn't cancel my other insurance since i didn't have papers from agent. Went on my trip I did enjoy it very much.. came back still no insurance and had to pay for it.
