I have only good things to say about Don and his team. There was constant communication from start to finish and all of the guys were knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard. We are so happy with the quality of the heat pump that we had installed. It has already been a lifesaver and to know that we'll have the same comfort throughout the colder months is such a relief. installed new furnace,,explained everything before and after,, to protect my floors they used mats, did a great clean up,, promptly got rid of old furnace,, very friendly answered all questions,, smaller company but dont let that fool you did a fantastic job very happy,, going to recommend to all my friends on and off facebook

We had our heat pump fail on New Years a couple of years ago. Called one company who came out and took out a part that was causing the heat pump to fail. So he hooked up so our electric furnace would keep us warm. It did of course, but we then used a lot more electricity- enough that the Hydro company called because our bill/usage had skyrocketed.
Unfortunately, this company didn't deal with replacing a heat pump. We found one dealer who came out and said a particular part was kaput, so we needed to replace the furnace and the heat pump. and gave us a price.
At that point, we figured if it was the whole system to replace, we should check out another quote. So one of the companies we called was Grand River. Bill came out assessed the situation. He found that that part could have been replaced for a lot less than the whole new system.
In the end, we did replace the whole system, partly because there were government incentives at the time which gave us about a $1000 in rebates. And we appreciated Bill's honesty and expertise.
Our system was over 20 years old and the heat pump compressor was not in the best of shape.

Vive Mechanical provided a competetive price for a Furnace & A/C replacement.
The team of Chuck, Jay and Doug arrived as promised. Great teamwork. I witnessed a professional installation being carried out. The guys endured (lol) all my questions and all went well. The new A/C instal went well outside. Chuck spent time setting up the furnace just before he demonstrated it to me. This York furnace runs so quiet. Im fussy! The guys cleaned up, rolled up floor runners. Thx to a job WELL DONE.
