I think the stars aligned when I went to Swiss Chalet a while back (more than a year ago). As always, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy without being stuffy or drab, and the service was quick (so quick I barely blinked and my food was there!). We had an AMAZING server who was around without hovering, and our food, as I said, was out within five minutes of ordering. This was, by far, the best service I have ever received in any restaurant. The server, in particular, was just absolutely incredible. She refiilled our water glasses when they were nearing empty, and it was like she was telepathic: she came with more napkins when things got a little bit messy! Overall, phenomenal. Had seen this place from time to time, since I sometimes go through the Port on business and loved the comfortable charm it presented. This summer after a day of cherry picking, we ended up in Port Dalhousie and Murphy's seemed like the place to try. We were so thirsty! They did the Long Island Ice Tea ... to a tee, and the food was fantastic. We had the surf and turf and a daily special and no one was disappointed. We loved the atmosphere inside and enjoyed the patio for dinner that day. But this would be a very cosy visit for the winter months too! We will definitely be back! Lire plus

Always a good time but sometimes food can be a let down. Chicken, meh....but the chicken wings are great. Pizza is a toss, excuse the pun but I've great nights and sadly don't like it nights. It can get really loud so be prepared if you are bringing the grandparents (they may want to turn down their hearing aids). It's kid friendly on one side and has obviously long time locals and party people on the bar side as well. A nice mix all around. Lire plus

Visiting the Falls and the bar was a 5 minute walk from the motel. The girl serving us, Kristen, was friendly and fast...had our drinks in no time even though it was busy and she was the only server. Food came fast, hot and exactly how I like my wings and I'm fussy! Spoke with Tuna (Charlie maybe?) behind the bar and told him that if I lived here, this is where I would hang out...he bought my wife and I a drink, which we thought was excellent. Went back the next night and ate something completely different and it to was excellent. Four dinners in 2 nights with about 8 pints total including somewhat generous tips brought the 2 day total to $92 CDN...the place is inexpensive and the food is very good. Lire plus

We LOVE Swiss Chalet! This is easily the most dependable place in town to eat. The food is always good, hot, delicious, and quickly delivered. I take quickly delivered to mean that I don't have to wait! Our servers have always been friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. The only reason I left a 5 star review was to the service we received. My steak was not cooked properly plus even they cooked it more from raw, the steak was bland, no flavor at all. I ended up loosing my appetite. The one thing that impressed me was our waitress. She tried her best and the manager told her that our bill was covered including our drinks. This shows me that the management supported their customers. I am a Keg person that in the past had little issues but it happens. Busy place. Lire plus

We started our visit via the internet to get a feel for the restaurant. We were curious to see the prices and any other information we could gather. We found the website to be user friendly and included day and evening menus with prices. We called to inquire about reservations and the hostess that answered was friendly and well informed. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the same hostess that answered the phone and accommodated us with the window seat that we had asked for. Walking in the atmosphere was warm and inviting with an amazing view of the Niagara Falls. Our waitress was pleasant and professional in all aspects of her job. She frequently stopped by to talk with us and ensure that our visit was a pleasant one. Her attention to us did not waiver even as the restaurant got busier. The food was fresh and exceeded all our expectations, right down to the butter. The steaks were prepared exactly the way we ordered them and the baked potato was superb. Overall this restaurant was outstanding, dinner was delicious, view was exquisite, service was amazing and we had a wonderful time. We were so thrilled with the service, food and atmosphere that we decided to dine there on the 14th and 15th as well. Our servers, Mike & Wissam are truly masters of their craft. They obviously love what they do and take exceptional care of their customers. Prices are very reasonable when quality and quantity are considered. Amazing atmosphere, staff and management. I've always used going to this place as an excuse for free parking aha, so we decided to stop by! The food was average because i could make chicken fingers and pasta at home way cheaper and way more flavorful! Its just an average place with normal average food for a decently high price. I knew that its just a tourist restaurant so it didnt really bother me. the dessert was good but still pretty average. The best part is the seating and the view you get.
