Some say an hour of fishing adds a day to your life. If that holds true, social media manager, fly fishing teacher and guided tour master Aaron Feltham should be immortal by now. “Bow River Troutfitters was started in 1995 and I came along a few years afterwards,” Aaron says. “I was looking for something to do after retiring from professional sports and a friend needed some part-time help in the shop.”
What started as a part-time job turned into a full-time career for Aaron. From childhood on, he would spend Friday nights on the water fishing and having fun. He stayed in the water throughout his life with a career first on the national water polo team and then in the professional league.
“Fishing is a great alternative to golf,” Aaron says. “Even in the corporate world, a lot more people are realizing that it’s an interesting alternative when hosting clients or for customer and employee appreciation.”
