“We emigrated from Hong Kong where we had a bakery,” says Chip Tang, who has been involved in the family business since the beginning. “At that time, Alberta didn’t have an Asian bakery. My parents decided to open one up in Calgary in 1978 and then we moved up to Edmonton in 1987.”

“We’re a family-run business, so we all have to know everything about the business to make it happen,” says Chip. “We oversee everything ...we oversee the quality and are able to keep it consistent.”
