no excuse for poor service even if the food is bad
i was told to visit gentleman jims that i would enjoy the food and service there. well i went tonite and i must say it will be the first and the last time i will ever go there. I will also be telling my friends about it. I was there with another couple and i ordered a stead very well done, when i got my steak it was rare and when i told the waitress all i got was o sorry. the other lady ordered haddock and it was dry as can be and didnt have anything to moisten it like lemon or tartar and the gentleman ordered a second coffee that took 20 mins to arrive and when it did it was like it was an afterthot. Going through the cash was another story though. when the first couple paid for their meal they were asked if they were leaving a tip to which the answer was $2 as i was not happy with the service. The owner/maanger said well she was new and we are not all perfect. When i told him i ordered my steak very well done and got blood running from it he took my money and practically threw the change and me and said oh well. the other lady said this would be the last time we would go there and his reply was ok.
This type of service in a tourist community is totally unacceptable and believe me my 1000 plus friends on facebook will also be told of this .
