Terribe Services
Nov 2010 I do agree with some of the reviews here because me and my friends had bad experience with this restaurant too. We went dim sum at this restaurant this afternoon and the first minute we walked in, we didn't feel that we're welcoming at all. Their good customer services are very selective. If you are their frequent customers, dress like a richy richy and non-Asian then you will get their best customer services. We are their first time customers and we dress very casually but clean and tidy. They scanned us from head to toes..(your staff are too superficial) I brought my friends to try this place because my relatives and family friends are their frequent customers (they don't even have to line up to get a seat, they got special treatments, the reception will escort them to get a seat - that's how I know they only give their best customer services to their frequent customers). I feel like if this place is only catering to certain groups of people, they should have put a sign outside their door. I will for sure won't go in with my friends. Ok, so when we were seated, there were no dim sum ordering sheet and menu on our table. When our waitress came to drop us the tea, she didn't even noticed what's missing. Nobody ever care about our existence. They passed by our table several times to serve other well dressed non-Asian customers. Another 10 mins were gone...my friend couldn't stand it..he asked the manager for the dim sum sheet. Then he realized that we didn't have any on our table (with no apologies) When we asked for the bill, it took them 10 mins to bring the bill to us..and took another 10 mins to return the credit card. My friend was very upset, he said to the waitress that their service was pretty slow - 20 mins to pay the bill. The waitress said Oh, really, our service is slow. Another friend of mine said..yes..your service was very slow. That waitress didn't apologies at all and she walked away. What kind of service is this???!!!! There are tons of Chinese dim sum restaurants around and as the customers we got plenty of choices. If this restaurant only cater to the well-dressed, non-Asian and frequent customers, that's ok with us. We will never go to this restaurant again in our life time and we will advise others (first timer) about this restaurant too. We are food lovers and we love to try different restaurants in the area. There are good and bad restaurants but even with the bad ones, their customer services are pretty ok. That's the reason why I never wrote any comments about them. But this one "Spring Villa Chinese Restaurant"...I cannot stop myself from writing the reviews. The owner of this restaurant should provide some customer services training to their staff. The owner needs to know that a restaurant cannot rely only on certain groups or levels of the customers to sustain itself. We are very disappointed and what a shame! Never again in our lifetime, we will step in your door for Chinese dim sum..we would go for other places that provide good customer services.
