Antweek.net is located in the popular historical shopping district of Port Perry, Ontario. This quaint waterfront town is about an hour's drive northeast of Toronto, and is renowned for specialty stores like Antweek.net. Spanning three store fronts, the unique shop houses an exciting variety of one-of-a-kind, hand-painted furniture, specialty home decor, original fine art, a full workshop studio, and a complete line of Cottage Paint and paint supplies.
General Manager Alison Brown heads a team of seven furniture artists who transform yesteryear’s tired treasures into new works of art to suit today’s decor and personal preferences. “We love to work with older pieces of furniture because of their interesting shapes, character and strength,” Alison says. The artists use a myriad of techniques: liming for that beach look, distressing and glazing to achieve a shabby chic feel, metallics for a touch of richness, or maybe even a crisp coat of bright colour to bring a piece back to life.
In addition to furniture, the store also sells unique decor and original artwork and photography from local artists. “No one else has one just like it” is a slogan the shop is very proud of. With an ever-changing inventory of new creations, there is always something different and exciting to see at Antweek.net.
