Good nutrition is the cornerstone for a healthy body and, coupled with a strong immune system, a recipe for a long and happy life. Pet owners want the same longevity and quality of life for their four-legged family members, something Andrea Peters, co-owner of Cloverdale's Bone & Biscuit Co., knows all too well.
When Rocky, her Wheaten Terrier suffered inflammatory bowel disease, she sought the advice of a holistic veterinarian rather than accept the conventional therapies of (life-long) steroid use and diet kibble. Pursuit of alternative care led to a thriving, symptom-free dog and facilitated her journey for high-quality healthy pet food and natural pet care products. In October 2012, Andrea and her business partner Jennifer Pinch bought the thirteenth store in the Bone & Biscuit Co. franchise.
"After spending over $6,000 at conventional veterinarians who were unable to offer a solution to help my dog, I knew there had to be a better way than toxic steroids and other drugs with horrific side effects," admits Andrea. "I found a holistic practitioner (now one of my best friends), who has taken me on a remarkable journey of learning homeopathy; a natural system that encourages the body to heal itself."
