I loved my first visit to Vincent's Place! The food is plentiful and delicious, and served in such a classy atmosphere. The staff are delightful, so friendly and warm you feel like family! The decor is very interesting as you find an old world charm with splashes of oddity. The oddity being the fascinating portraits painted by Vincent him self of his regular customers back in the day.
Went there about a year ago and it was pretty good! Had the veal and chicken and both were tasty. Service was great and the staff were friendly. I said maybe to going again because although I liked it, something kinda made it not the best experience. Maybe I just didn't like the layout of the place or something. For sure worth a try though! TALK ABOUT YOUR HIDDEN GEMS AND HOLE IN THE WALL PLACES. LITERALLY THIS IS A LITTLE SIDE RESTAURANT ON KINGSTON ROAD THAT YOU WOULD MOST LIKELY PASS UP. BUT DONT! THE ATMOSPHERE IS ALL DARK WOOD AND DIM LIGHTING. KINDA REMINDS ME OF THE OLD SCOTT HOUSE BACK IN THE 80'S. DECOR IS SIMPLE AND APPEASING TO THE EYE. BUT THE REALLY GOOD STUFFF IS THE FOOD. THE FOOD OH LAWDY THE FOOD. I HAVE ATE HERE AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS AND NEVER ONCE HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED. VEAL TO DIE FOR AND ORANGE ROUGHY FISH THAT IS SO FLAKEY AND TENDER. STAFF ARE SUPER GREAT AND ATTENTATIVE. NO JUDGING HERE OR SNOBBERY HERE. JUST GOOD FOOD IN A GREAT FAMILY PLACE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR A ROMANTIC DATE AS THE AMBIENCE CAN DEFINITLEY SET THE MOOD. NOW WHAT WILL RREALLY GET YOU IS THE PRICE. FOR $24 YOU GET A APP OF A STUFFED AND BAKED CLAM. YOUR CHOICE OF ENTREE AND A DESSERT. i PROMISE YOU WILL BE FULL AND LOOKING TO TAKE HOME A DOGGY BAG. GO HERE AND EXPERINCE ONE OF SCARBOROUGHS TRULY HIDDEN GEMS!
Service and atmosphere is top notch. Really excellent. Food is not amazing, the fixed menu makes it hard to go back because you will get mostly the same thing every time.
My husband and I have been visiting Vincent's Spot for well over 35 years. Even before we were married in 1976. We remember the first year it opened and Vincent served the meals! My husband raves that it is THE BEST STEAK anywhere and we have eaten all over the world, including the best resturants in Toronto and New York City. We feel like we are coming home to a great home cooked meal at a reasonable price. Love it, keep up the great work John and Helen.
