Spicy thai is the best Thai restaurant that I have been to- bar none. I recently moved from St. Catharines and there has not been a week that has gone by where I do not crave Spicy Thai.
The hosts and hostesses are very accommodating. They always provide excellent service. I am vegetarian and they are very willing to offer advice. They'll even recommend changes to dishes and tell me which ones do not work out well when converted to vegetarian.
Moreover, all of the ingredients are authentic thai ingredients. For some reason, the majority of thai restaurants I have frequented, do not use the real ingredients. It makes such a huge difference as the real ingredients add layers and textures to every bite.
The major negative aspect to Spicy Thai is that it is in a rougher area of St. Catharines. That being said, I have never had a negative experience due to the area.
The only dish that I would not highly recommend would be the glass noodle salad. They put too many onions on it, but if you ask for them to be removed, then it is fantastic.
If you live in St. Catharines and don't try this restaurant, then you are truly missing out on a one of a kind taste experience.

The Thai food here is fantastic. The prices are quite reasonable as well. The resturant decor is all authenic asian. The heat of the food is also very tolerable for those who don't like the heat. However, if like me just ask for it hot or very hot and they will make it for you. I frequent this place!
We like spicy food and are disappointed when restaurants tone down the heat for middle of the road North American palates- but at Spicy Thai, trust that hot means hot. I think I'll order the green curry with medium spicing next time as my lips are still burning! Excellent flavours, portions, ambiance, service. We will most definitely be back.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The first few times I've been, the food was amazing. The last two times I went I was really disappointed. The mango salad had really dry of pieces sweet tofu, it tasted like days old with the center soaked in oil. The mango slices were faar from fresh, we couldn't eat it. I also ordered vegetarian pad thai and found 2 pieces of fatty chicken with skin among the tofu. Luckily I'm not a vegetarian and just prefer the veggie pad thai.

Alan the owner was completely ignorant to my wife and I when we were trying to pay the bill. He made a scene and degraded me infront of his staff and customers, my wife had to leave in fear that there might be some trouble. I will NEVER go back, and tell every one I meet that they should go elsewhere. Don't ever try to pay with Tradebank, for some people it's a one way street!
