I agree with the majority of the reviews. The food ranges from great to so-so depending on what you order, but the service is pretty bad. I think the worse thing is the long wait. We had to wait forever in a long line, and people kept coming in front of us (they seemed to be friends with the staff). When we did finally sit down, the pace wasn't too bad, but not great. And the attitude was sort of like you are annoying them. But the best part is definitely the portions/value. And obviously, the food has to be good in order to be worth it. I have to say that their tomatoe sause spaghetti was really great; you could really taste the freshness of the tomatoes and the pasta was home-made. It tasted like a trattoria in southern Italy, with that aromatic fruity extra-virgin olive oil taste and tomatoes from the meditarranean soil (which they probablly weren't, but who cares). Also, the mixed fried seafood platter was really good and tasted very fresh. The appetizer of seafood salad was not very appetizine-tasted too much of white vinager; like the kind you find pre-packaged in the deli section at your local grocers. Anyway, I would go back but only if I call before hand and order either take-out or make sure that they reserve me to sit down right away (which I don't know if they do). The ambiance is not classy, but not bad if you like the loud-Italian-extended family-gathering scene. Don't get offended, I myself am Italian but the truth is the truth. If you don't mind the TV and crowd, then no problem; can be rather fun. The company your with definately has to be interesting!!

I went to this restaurant with a friend for the first time because I was told the food was really good. There were a few empty tables and the host proceeded to tell us there were no tables available for us and to come back after TWO hours. We decided to get take out and when I asked which pasta they would recommend, I was spoken to incredibly rudely, laughed at, humiliated and felt like I was being spoken down to. I actually left the restaurant in tears! The food was decent but I will never return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food at this restaurant is superb and I will go back again and again because of the food. I've even had them do catering for some functions at home - fantastic food!! The service however is another story. They keep you waiting a long time and some of the wait staff can be rude at times; almost like you're annoying them. But I can forgive this because the food, portions and price are so great!

As a staff dinner, the only 2 people that enjoyed their food were those that had the seafood platters. 2 people had the steaks and asked for medium done and got almost well done and steaks were tough. Chicken meal was dry. Veal parmesan was reportedly not too bad. Stone pizza with salmon was actually a dried baked pizza base with oily smoked salmon, capers and spices on it - very disappointing. The meals were generous in size, the service was unfriendly, slow and poor compared to all other restaurants. Had to eventually go to the cashier and request the bill after waiting for an hour but our waiter had just dropped off from the face of the earth and was nowhere to be found. Seeing as it is family run, I think he was one of the family members and just decided to go when he felt like. What difference did it make to him - they automatically added 15% to the bill and let me tell you, this took all motivation from any type of service. I usually tip 15% or more but this time if I had a choice I would have given less than 10%.
This place is overrated and would not go back there even if it is reasonably priced. This must be one of the worst Italian restaurants I have been to.
