    Extremely unprofessional employees with zero conflict resolution skills who are inconsiderate of others. **NOT** 2SLGBTQ+ friendly at all. Repeatedly miss-gendered by staff, and when asked not to be called Ma'am or Sir, I was treated to a loud groan and an exasperated "Oh, My God!". Trying to have a mature discussion, I was cut short by being hung up on.

    If I could leave less than 1 star I would. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I spent 6 months with 2 windows broken, and cardboard duct taped over them in record cold temperatures. They refused to fix them, the building was run down, communication is terrible, they literally do not care about you, just your money. It’s not worth it. Literally go with ANY other company. Move in was a terrible experience and moving out process is just as bad. Appalling service.

    Sussex has always been a very accommodating company. I have nothing ill to say of any staff, or management. Everyone is very friendly, professional, and helpful. Especially my current caretakers! Thanks!

    Well, there are reasons why this companys rating is poor. I live in a building managed by Sussex in downtown Winnipeg. We had 3 break-ins within the past few months and guess what Sussex has done about it ... You guessed it: Nothing! The lady responsible for my apartment never answers the phone. So good luck getting an answer from Sussex! The caretaker also complains about the lack of support from Sussex. I had lived in apartments owned by other companies and havent had any issues with them.

    I was informed that they were be checking for bedbugs in my apartment and given 24 hours notice which was fine, came back after work to find my bed flipped over with sheets thrown on the floor, closet rifled through with nothing put back, couch flipped over upside down, clothes that I had folded and left out on the chaise lying on the ground, chair tipped over etc. etc. Tried contacting the building manager - no answer. Tried emailing Sussex - no answer. Avoid Sussex.

    terrible company. your application would not get approved if they wont be able to talk to your employer when they call even if you give them all necessary documents and security deposits. Katya from leasing department would not even return your phone calls even if you call her few minutes after she called. i got a call from them in less than 24 hrs letting me know that they already approve somebody elses application. very unprofessional stay away from this company!

    A great company

    Sussex Realty has always been easy to deal with and very accommodating! A great company who took the time to rectify any problem that arose. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment.

    1. If they gave you a wrong info (rent, type of lease, how big is apt.)they do not care - they never say sorry. 2.More that dozen notice of entry, ok - repairs - but no explanation what plan they have, this was no a one-three time in a month, management do not care totell/explain you how long they predicting to do the repairs. 3.CSR's on the reception desk know nothing they are usually not able to help you. Even if the apt. is nice by company managing methods I don't want to use this comp. again

    very bad company bad management i have bad experience with them no code of ethic specially the winkler manager Abe khran i'm advise every body not deal with him or this company at all. my rate is zero

    Bad manager - Can't get along

    I moved in 1-363 Clare Avenue September 1, 2010. Great area, reallly nice apartment with good looking suites. As winter set in the cold took over. It didn't matter what I said to the manager, whether I asked nicely, firmly demanded, he refused to raise the temperature in my suite. For a month it was a literal "Igloo" in my suite. Finally I called Sussex reality who seemed quite happy to help. By the time a maintenenace person came to check it out the manager had increased the heat up to room temperature and I was given heck for phoning Sussex reality too much. I am angry that this gentlemen can get away with giving me a bad name with my landlord and making me look like a fool as well. I just hope he behaves himself when does maintenance jobs inside my suite when I'm not home!
